Book a Desk Lucan Library
Book a desk at the Lucan Library branch below to guarantee a place to study and work in our dedicated study areas, with free WiFi access and power points for charging laptops and other devices.
These study spaces are available to reserve online under the terms and conditions below.
- Only adult and young adult borrowers can book study spaces
- Only one slot can be booked at a time
- You can only book study spaces for your own use; you may not book spaces for others using your library card details
- You must check-in with library staff when attending for your booking
- Please be on time; bookings are automatically cancelled after 30 minutes in the event of a no-show or failure to check-in
- Persistent no-shows or failure to check-in for bookings may result in a block being applied to your account preventing future study space bookings
- Study slots are three-hour, fifteen-minute (3hr 15min) duration
- Slots can be booked a maximum of 2 days in advance
- Study spaces must be vacated at least 15 mins prior to closing time
- Please leave your study area clean and tidy
- Do not leave personal items or items of value unattended
- Drinks with lids are permitted; no food to be consumed on the premises
- The study area is a quiet space and disruptive behaviour which interferes with the use of the facility by others, will result in a withdrawal of services
Your study space bookings can be managed via your online library account; please refer to it to check and confirm upcoming bookings. Please note that confirmation emails regarding bookings are not currently available. If you are unable to attend your booking, please cancel it via the Bookings screen on your online account or by contacting the library; failure to do so may restrict your ability to make future bookings.
